Homestead Miami Speedway
Filed under: Florida, RacetracksThe Homestead Miami Speedway is located in southern Miami-Dade County in Florida. The speedway first opened in 1995 with a NASCAR Busch Series race. It is owned by International Speedway Corporation.
The track currently is host to Ford Championship Weekend, which is the final races of the season for NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch Series and the Craftsman Truck Series. The track also hosts the Indy Racing League XM Satellite Radio Indy 300.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Filed under: Indiana, Landmarks, RacetracksThe Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the second-oldest suriving automobile race track in the world behind the Milwaukee Mile. It is home to the Indy Racing League’s Indianaplis 500 and NASCAR’s Brickyard 400.
Pictured above is the start/finish line which has a three-foot wide line of bricks. The track used to be all bricks until it was converted to asphalt.
