Cutty Sark

The Cutty Sark was one of the last clippers to be built.  It was built in 1869 in Scotland.  It is now a museum in Greenwich in London.  It inspired a brand of whisky.  On May 2007 it was extensively damaged by a fire while undergoing renovation.

London Eye

The London Eye, also know as the Millennium Wheel, opened in 1999 and is the largest observation wheel in the world.  It is over 440 feet tall and has 32 sealed air-conditioned capsules.  It is sponsored by British Airways.

Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, England over the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, which gives it its name. It has become an iconic symbol of London and is sometimes mistakenly called London Bridge, which is the next bridge upstream. The bridge is owned and maintained by Bridge House Estates, a charitable trust overseen by the Corporation of London.

Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the British monarch in London. The Palace is a setting for state occasions and royal entertaining, a base for many officially visiting Heads of State, and a major tourist attraction. It has been a rallying point for the British people at times of national rejoicing, crisis or grief. “Buckingham Palace”, “Buck House” or simply “The Palace” commonly refers to the source of press statements issued by the offices of the Royal Household.

Stonehenge

Stonehenge is a Neolithic and Bronze Age megalithic monument located near Amesbury in the English county of Wiltshire, about 8 miles (13 km) north of Salisbury. It is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones and is one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world.
