The house sits on 5 acres of land and is valued at approximately $50 million. It has 22 rooms and includes the following amenities: private zoo and aviary, tennis courts, waterfall, game room, wine cellar and large pool area (including the famous grotto that can be seen above).

Washington Monument

Construction was started in 1848 and was completed in 1884. It stands at over 555 feet tall and is visited by more than 800,000 visitors per year.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Hoover Dam
Filed under: Landmarks, Nevada, StructuresThe Hoover Dam is located on Colorado River on the border between Arizona and Nevada. It is named after former U.S. President Herbert Hoover. The reservoir that is created by the dame is Lake Mead. The Hoover Dam was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1985. U.S. Route 93 runs on the top of the dam. On one side of the dam it is the Pacific Time Zone and on the other it is the Mountain Time Zone.

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Filed under: Memorials, Monuments, Washington D.C.The Tomb of the Unknowns is a monument in Arlington National Cemetary that is dedicated to American soldiers who have died but not been identified. The Tomb has an inscription that says: “HERE RESTS IN HONORED GLORY AN AMERICAN SOLDIER KNOWN BUT TO GOD”.
